Yeah I see what you mean. The change in societal musical preferences is reflective in what I see as a degeneration of youth and its ideals. I've always subscribed to the theory of a cultural renaissance being vital to a change in this. It doesn't even have to apply to rock alone. It may seem a bit strange in the beginning, but over time, society tends to adapt to, if not embrace unfamiliar types of music and behavior if exposed to it regularly.
